Welcome to Haus August – Your Home in Bad Gastein

Everything you need to know about your stay at Reitlpromenade 6

Servus and a warm welcome! We're delighted you chose Bad Gastein and our lovingly renovated holiday apartment. To help you feel at home from the very first moment, we've put together everything important about Haus August.

View over Bad Gastein and the Gastein Valley with alpine mountains

Check-in & Check-out

The apartment is ready for you from 3 pm on your arrival day. Please let us know your estimated arrival time a few days in advance – we'll arrange the key handover individually.

On your departure day, we ask you to leave the apartment broom-clean by 10 am. Clean dishes go back in the cupboards, no need to strip the beds. Just leave used towels in a pile on the floor – we'll take it from there.

Infrared Heating – Gentle as Sunlight

The house is heated with infrared panels. They warm each room quickly and feel like natural sunlight – particularly pleasant and gentle. Simply use the plus and minus buttons on the thermostat.

Two small requests:

  • Turn the heating down when you're out – saves energy and earns karma points 💚

Please don't place anything on the heaters – objects may discolour or damage the panels

Wi-Fi, TV & Tech

You'll find the Wi-Fi password and network name on the back of the router.

For the TV: the large remote turns it on, the small remote operates the internet TV. Regular channels (ARD, ZDF, ORF etc.) run via Zattoo. If anything gets mixed up: internet TV is on HDMI 1.

Kitchen, Bathroom & Laundry

In the kitchen, you'll find everything you need for cooking. If the dishwasher isn't full, please use the short cycle. Please don't pour food waste, fats or liquids into the sink – this prevents blockages.

In the bathroom, the hairdryer is in the cabinet under the sink. After showering, leave the windows (and doors if possible) open for about 10 minutes to prevent mould. You're welcome to use the complimentary Kosmeteria natural cosmetics range. If you fall in love with the shampoo, body wash or conditioner, you can buy your own bottle from us (€28 each, hand soap €20).

Washing machine: Available on request – please let us know on arrival. For €20, you'll get the key to the laundry room with a drying rack and detergent. Call: +43 670 4011983.

Interim cleaning can be arranged – charged by the hour. Same number.

Quiet Hours & Good Neighbours

Haus August is in a residential area. We observe public quiet hours (midday, night, Sundays). Within the apartment, we ask for consideration between 10 pm and 7 am.

Non-smoking Apartment

Our apartment is smoke-free. Please step outside to smoke – thank you for understanding.

Parking & Keys

You can park directly in front of the apartment. Please don't park on the neighbour's property or on the hill – there's a risk of sliding in snowy conditions.

Please never hand the key to anyone else. Report any loss immediately. The front door should always be closed and locked when leaving – as should all windows.

Available on Request

  • Travel cot & high chair – free, please let us know when booking

  • Bed linen & towels – can be changed on request for a fee

  • First aid kit – in the kitchen cupboard
